GeneTex

Established in 1997 by three renowned scientists, Dr. Wen-Hwa Lee, Dr. Joel Baseman, and Dr. Kent Osborne, GeneTex’s corporate mission is unchanged:

“ We strive to serve and accelerate life science research by creating essential biomedical reagents where quality can be found in every vial. ”

Led by the distinguished Dr. Eva Lee, GeneTex has established state-of-the-art facilities in both the United States and Taiwan to provide top-quality antibodies and reagents generated through refined product development programs, international collaborations with leading researchers, and scrupulous scientific rigor.

GeneTex creates reagents for biomedical research, assay development, and in vitro diagnostics. Its products are made to standards outlined in quality management systems ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016, and are supported by comprehensive customer service.

Featured Products

  • HIF1 alpha antibody – HIF1 alpha antibody recognizes HIF1 alpha (HIF1a) protein, which is a subunit of the heterodimeric transcription factor hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1). HIF-1 is a master regulator of homeostatic adaption to hypoxia (low oxygen supply) in various physiological and pathological conditions including normal development and cancer.
  • PARP antibody [N2C1], Internal – PARP antibody (more specifically, PARP1 antibody) detects poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP)-1, which is involved in various biological mechanisms such as DNA repair, genomic stability, and programmed cell death. Preclinical and clinical studies showed that PARP inhibition is an effective anti-tumor modality, and thus PARP inhibitors have become essential components of various chemotherapeutic regimens against many malignancies.
  • PD-L1 antibody – PD-L1 antibody recognizes programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) protein, also known as B7 homolog 1 (B7-H1) and cluster of differentiation 274 (CD274) protein. PD-L1 is found on various cancer cells and transduces immunosuppressive signals by binding to the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) on effector T cells, thereby diminishing immune system attacks on malignant cells. Blocking the interaction between PD-L1 and PD-1 with PD-L1 antibodies is generating great clinical interest as a mode of immunotherapy against a number of cancers.

GeneTex Antibody Conjugation Service

Antibody conjugation refers to direct attachment of a tag to an antibody through biochemical reactions, often involving amine-reactive or thiol-reactive chemistry. These tags can be enzymes (e.g., horseradish peroxidase (HRP)), fluorescent dyes, biotin, beads, nanoparticles, or nucleic acids. Conjugated antibodies are routinely used as secondary antibodies, but conjugated primary antibodies are also commonly employed for flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, western blot, and other applications.
